TESTIMONIALS
"I had the privilege of meeting with Wouter one-on-one over the course of several years. I came into the mentorship with very little understanding of character design: my characters were lifeless and flat. Wouter was very encouraging in his feedback and helped me to pinpoint exactly where my designs could be improved. I left with a much better understanding of how to pose them, turn them, and place them in an environment. It was one of the best investments I've made in my art education, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anybody who wants to level up their artwork."

"Wouter is a great mentor. He is incredibly knowledgeable and truly knows his craft. I’ve paid for many mentoring sessions with him, and every time I leave with a stronger understanding of the fundamentals. He has helped me with projects I was working on and elevated them to the next level. He has also mentored me in specific areas, such as character design, and after just a few lessons I could already see my skills improving. I’ve even had fellow artists tell me they noticed a difference in my work after a few mentoring sessions. I definitely plan on booking more sessions with Wouter in the future."

"Wouter was my mentor at the beginning of my learning process, and I genuinely found him to be an exceptional teacher. He has a very clear and structured way of explaining things, and he made the fundamentals feel understandable and exciting even when I was completely new to the subject. I especially appreciated how he could break down complex ideas into something practical and approachable without overwhelming detail. The foundation he gave me was very valuable and really shaped how I approached the work afterwards. It helped me understand the core structure of the process much more clearly than I had before. I also appreciated his patience and the calm, grounded way he guided the early stages of learning. I’m very grateful for the time I trained with him and the clarity he brought to the learning process."

"During the mentorship with Wouter I really experienced the mentor in mentorship! It was such a breath of fresh air to have someone think along with me with my problems, and explain to me what causes them and how to tackle them. It's not quick fixes, but long term practices that I still use to help me along the way. Wouter's love for drawing is what makes this mentorship infectious, he can make anything fun and a challenge, instead of something daunting. I think the one on one is also very important, he really takes the time to understand you specifically and what you want to achieve. Especially if you already have some drawing years under your belt, but feel a bit stuck, I really recommend this mentorship to give you that push that you need. He is very kind and understanding, and of course a wizard when it comes to drawing. And he really really helps."

"Wouter has been my mentor for a while, and he is truly an amazing mentor and an exceptional artist. I’m grateful for everything I’ve learned from him - I can’t say it enough. First, I took his Schoolism course, then continued with his additional courses, and later I enrolled in his mentorship classes. His guidance helped me grow immensely: to recognize my weaknesses, unlearn bad habits, and evolve as an Artist and a Character designer.
Wouter has a remarkable ability to explain difficult concepts in a clear, simple way, highlighting what truly matters and how to make things work. Anyone serious about character design would learn tremendously from him."
